Virtual 2020

UPDATE: THANK YOU FOR A SUCCESSFUL SHOW!

Welcome to my first virtual art show and sale. Originally, my art school friend Brittany Lauren and I had planned an in-person show but we are postponing it due recent COVID-19 restrictions. By going virtual, we hope that we can share our art with a larger audience. I am presenting two series of my work, one is focused on sculpture and the other is a series of origami assemblages.

As our title suggests, much of the work is available for for sale. However, I’m also looking for your feedback to help me develop as an artisit.

This page acts as the lobby, scroll down and click on the graphics to enter the art rooms to access slideshows of the individual pieces. There are also links which provide more information on the story of the work and processes used. Please sign the guestbook and share this page with your friends and family if you enjoyed the experience.

Enjoy and take care.

I’d like to introduce my good friend Brittany Lauren’s website (Etsy). She paints exquisite wildlife and pet portraits on richly textured canvases. Have an animal lover in your family? It’s not too late to commission a pet portrait for Christmas! To return to this site, hit the back button on your browser.

Thank you everyone for visiting and your ongoing support, I couldn’t have done this without you. I could be more specific but I haven’t earned the grammy speech… just yet.

GUESTBOOK

Feel free to drop a hello but if you’re up for it, contribute to the art conversation. Was there a piece or message which deeply resonated with you? Did you wish I further explored other topics or issues? Want to know more about the process? What did YOU see? What was your interpretation?

Andrew, Congratulations on your debut show! Each piece is so compelling with meticulous details and the added bonus of background narrative and motive. Strength is undeniable in the impressions of your sculptures and the vibrancy of your origami work keeps me coming back to look and look again. As long as I have known you, you have been a maker. It’s great to see you on this journey of discovery, both self and worldly. Your creative hands are enhanced by your thoughtful mind. Looking forward to all the beautiful things you’ll continue to put out into this world.

Hi Andrew, love the show! The strong women do remind me of today's women and the load the have to lift or shoulder in everyday life. Also the balancing act of working and raising a family. I loved Convergence as well. I have never seen origami art done in this fashion. It is amazing, breath taking! All the best! Debbie Tonner ( Heather's Mom)

Hi Andrew, I loved your strong woman series. In particular, I loved the message and story behind Savannah’s sculpture. I love how you captured the dumbbell overhead, but right before you stand up. As a young(ish) woman, it resonates with me because I feel like in my own personal life goals I’m right in that position. I’ve got the ‘weight’, I can lift it but I’m still learning to stand up with it and keep it steady. It really spoke to me. You nailed this one to a tee. I think the storyline of her opening her own gym and following a dream matches the art you’ve created. I enjoyed looking at your collection. Thanks for sharing. Mallory Cunnington
